For players who find a standard 58″ or longer cue unnecessary, its shorter overall length provides a more compact setup without moving into the lighter feel commonly associated with shorter cues.

At 18.5oz with a 19″ balance point, the Earl 005 carries its weight positively towards the front of the cue. This creates a planted, controlled feel through the delivery, while the 30.1mm butt keeps the grip comfortable and relatively streamlined. Together, these measurements give the Earl 005 a distinctive combination of shorter length, useful cue weight and forward presence.

The cue is fitted with a versatile 9.5mm tip and made with a selected ash shaft for the natural feedback expected from a quality snooker cue. Its individual 8-slice butt design provides a traditional decorative finish and gives the Earl 005 its own identity within the range.

Cue Features

Rather than treating 2-piece construction as an entry-level feature, the Earl range is designed for players who genuinely prefer a centre-joint snooker cue. The Earl 005 separates at the centre for convenient transport and storage while retaining the solid connection and playing feel expected from a serious cue.

Selected ash provides clear feedback through the shot, while the 57″ length makes this particular Earl an appealing choice for players who naturally suit a slightly shorter cue. Its 18.5oz weight and 19″ balance point prevent it from feeling overly light or insubstantial, creating a compact cue with plenty of stability through the stroke.

The 8-slice butt construction completes the cue with an individual finish while maintaining the traditional appearance of a quality snooker cue.

Cue Specifications

Cue Type: 2-piece (centre joint)
Shaft Material: Ash
Tip Size: 9.5mm
Length: 57″
Weight: 18.5oz
Butt Diameter: 30.1mm
Balance Point: 19″

Why Choose the Earl 005?

The Earl 005 stands out within the range because of its 57″ length. It is particularly suited to players looking for a shorter 2-piece snooker cue without sacrificing weight, stability or the reassuring feel of a premium ash cue.

Its 18.5oz weight and forward 19″ balance point give it more presence than its compact dimensions might suggest. Combined with the practical centre joint and 9.5mm tip, this makes the Earl 005 a strong option for players whose natural stance and cueing action are better matched to a 57″ cue.

For players wanting the convenience of a genuine 2-piece cue with individually measured specifications rather than a generic entry-level setup, the Earl 005 offers a distinctive playing profile that can be selected to suit the player rather than simply choosing a cue by appearance.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0597/8947/5949/files/FCE0F109-A0A9-4903-8622-CE4D8FFEC8BA.jpg?v=1790985931
